AUCTION ACTION: Steppenwolf's annual gala usually features lots of nifty prizes -- including quality time with the company's ensemble -- and this year's no exception. Guests at the April 18 fete at the theater can bid on an L.A. weekend with Gary Cole on the set of ''Entourage,'' a stylish spa treatment weekend in New York with Joan Allen, dinner with playwright Tracy Letts and the cast of his Tony-winning ''August: Osage County'' (including Deanna Dunagan, Fran Guinan, Mariann Mayberry, Amy Morton, Sally Murphy, Rondi Reed and Rick Snyder) at Art Smith's Table Fifty-Two, and a Rick Bayless feast prepared in his home with Steppenwolf co-founders Terry Kinney, Jeff Perry and Gary Sinise -- plus the theater's artistic director Martha Lavey.
